Say goodbye to 2014 foverever (DIY using last year's magazines/calendars/etc.)

Hey there! It's about time you started getting rid o those old calendars of 2014, 2013, 2012, 20122, 2010----5000BCE and beyond. Why not use them as bunting triangles?

Already it's been over a week since 2015 began and 2014 ended, but I'm sure you have a bunch of old calendars or magazines lying around from last year or even from the year before. Or hey, maybe you're on top of things and are super organized. Either ways it's always fun to bunt ! (someone should print this on a Tshirt)

This is a very simple, cliché DIY project that is just basic bunting. However I thought it would be a nice way to recycle my 2014 calendar. (*Actually the calendar I'm using in this project is from about four years ago, but I'm obsessed with the pictures).
Grab a handful of old calendars and/or magazines and let's get started!

What you will need:

  • old calendars/magazine/anything with nice images
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • glue
  • twine/string/ribbon
step 1. Fold paper in half and cut out triangles. You can create a one just for tracing to create more exact and equal triangles. Keep doing this until  you are satisfied, or make 12 triangles if you really want to listen to some directions.

You should end up with a bunch of triangles

Step 2. Cut the twine/string/ribbon according to the length you want your bunting to be.

Step 3.  Space evenly on string and glue thee two sides of the triangles together.

Anyways it's out with the old and in with the new(ish)!

Here is the finished product in a warmer lit room.

Hope you got some inspiration for the new(ish) year!
Until next week
